Title: Facilities Manager - Process Engineered Fuel - San Antonio TX
Location: Texas-San Antonio
Waste Management's Organic Growth Group has an opening in our expanding Process Engineered Fuel business for a Facilities Manager in San Antonio, TX. The Facilities Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the Processed Engineered Fuel Facility (PEF) in compliance with company standards, policies and procedures. He/She ensures the highest standards of safety, environmental and operational excellence.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Responsible for all management functions related to the proper maintenance and logistics of a PEF processing facility that will process up to 25,000 tons of materials per month
Review production costs and product quality. Modify, as appropriate, to maintain and enhance product quality and profitable operation
Manage all PEF associated performance requirements, (including productivity, volume tracking, safety, environmental, time and attendance reports),and financial data (including, monthly and projections, P&L and annual budgets)
Manage the financial P&L results and requirements of the plant's business and operations to ensure that revenue and expense goals are met or exceeded as established in the annual business plan.
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property through inspections and preventive maintenance programs with supervisors/employees
Run trial test loads for prospective customers
Provide management and enhancement of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement
Facilitate implementation and compliance of all company safety, environmental, and operational programs
Maintain a facility that meets Federal, State and local agency and authority permits, laws, and regulations
Conduct and/or contribute to periodic safety meetings
Interface with OGG Marketing personnel and Market Area to support efforts regarding new product development, pricing and potential product or waste materials process expansion
Maintain effective relationships with WM Landfill and Hauling Operations and key local community decision makers
Oversee personnel needs of the PEF including selection, coaching, training and evaluating employee performance. Provide input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
Create a positive team-oriented environment through employee development and motivation
Act as a liaison, where necessary, for community relationships
Other tasks as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of supervisory employees. This includes:
Direct supervision of approximately 4-6 full-time employees
Indirect supervision of 10-40 full-time employees.
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

Education and Experience

Required: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience, in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management or similar area of study, and/or seven to ten years previous management experience in manufacturing or related business.

Preferred: Master's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management or similar area of study, and seven to ten years previous management experience. Strong management experience in manufacturing operations with 7-10 years of Lean/Continuous improvement.
