When David Rowland bought his new home at 6605 Dakota Trail in Edina for $3.45 million, he did not have to worry about the quality of the home theater system. The seller was former Best Buy Chief Executive Officer Richard Schulze and his wife, Stephanie.

?They were tired of Minnesota winters, so they moved to Naples, Fla., two years ago,? said the listing agent, Aaron Ouska of Edina Realty.

The Schulzes actually bought one home in 2005, tore it down and built a six-bedroom, 7,600-square-foot ranch home with a custom stone exterior. Two years later they bought the house next door and built a matching 1,850-square-foot carriage house, complete with a sport court on the lower level.

Even at the high end of the market, however, people are looking for bargains. The house was listed at $5.5 million but sold more than two years later for $2 million less.

?There?s not a huge pool of buyers who can purchase homes like this,? Ouska said. And those who are buying aren?t in a hurry.

?The buyer saw it the first time over a year before we closed,? Ouska said. ?Buyers don?t jump into things as fast as they used to.?

Daniel and Janet Schalk had their home at 2080 Meeting St. in Minnetonka on the market barely two months when Matthew J. Schliep bought it on March 25 for $1.95 million.

Custom builder Keith Waters and Associates of Eden Prairie built the home in 2006, with nearly 7,000 square feet of finished space on a 1.3-acre lot. The one-story home with lower level walkout features four bedrooms and six baths, with strong architectural details, a stonework exterior and luxury interior finishes.

The listing agent, Michael Wille of Coldwell Banker Burnet?s Minneapolis Lakes office, said the Schalks just completed their home a year ago but recently had a career relocation. They sold quickly because they priced aggressively, he said. ?I?ve had seven luxury home closings this year, and all of them sold at between 60 and 70 percent of replacement costs,? he said.

Finance & Commerce recently reported that Roxane and Stephen Gudeman sold their Lowry Hill home on March 15 for $1.7 million. And now, here?s the rest of the story.

On April 4, the Gudemans paid $1.3 million for a townhome at 112 Groveland Terrace in Minneapolis, not far from their former home. The sellers, Arthur and Anne Collins, had the unit on the market for about a year before it sold.

Groveland Terrace is a luxury brick townhome development designed to fit its historic Minneapolis neighborhood. The 3,400-square-foot unit includes two bedrooms, two baths, garage space, a private elevator and a courtyard.

Scott Acker of Burnet & Birkeland in Minneapolis, who listed the property, specializes in homes with architectural significance.

UFC helps amateur shows grow: Tuff-N-Uff in bigger arena tonight in Vegas

Memorial Day weekend is jammed with parties and concerts in Las Vegas. UFC 130 is certainly the biggest sporting event in town, but it's not the only MMA going down. One of the best amateur shows in the country has outgrown its old digs and moved to a bigger arena. Tuff-N-Uff takes place tonight at the 3,500 seat Cox Pavilion.

The card is headlined by Frank Mir's cousin Larry Mir, who's facing Chis Barden. Mir realizes the significance of the amateur show moving to a larger venue.

"It is such a huge honor to be able to fight where Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar had their fight [at the first Ultimate Fighter finale]. They speak so much about how that fight put MMA in the mainstream," Mir told the Las Vegas Sun. "It's such a big honor to be able to fight where the greats have fought."

The weigh-ins for the card took place yesterday at the Sky Combat Ace hangar where Randy and Ryan Couture were on hand along with TUF 7 champ Amir Sadollah.

Waste Management's Organic Growth Group has an opening in our expanding Process Engineered Fuel business for a Facilities Manager in San Antonio, TX. The Facilities Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the Processed Engineered Fuel Facility (PEF) in compliance with company standards, policies and procedures. He/She ensures the highest standards of safety, environmental and operational excellence.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Responsible for all management functions related to the proper maintenance and logistics of a PEF processing facility that will process up to 25,000 tons of materials per month
Review production costs and product quality. Modify, as appropriate, to maintain and enhance product quality and profitable operation
Manage all PEF associated performance requirements, (including productivity, volume tracking, safety, environmental, time and attendance reports),and financial data (including, monthly and projections, P&L and annual budgets)
Manage the financial P&L results and requirements of the plant's business and operations to ensure that revenue and expense goals are met or exceeded as established in the annual business plan.
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property through inspections and preventive maintenance programs with supervisors/employees
Run trial test loads for prospective customers
Provide management and enhancement of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement
Facilitate implementation and compliance of all company safety, environmental, and operational programs
Maintain a facility that meets Federal, State and local agency and authority permits, laws, and regulations
Conduct and/or contribute to periodic safety meetings
Interface with OGG Marketing personnel and Market Area to support efforts regarding new product development, pricing and potential product or waste materials process expansion
Maintain effective relationships with WM Landfill and Hauling Operations and key local community decision makers
Oversee personnel needs of the PEF including selection, coaching, training and evaluating employee performance. Provide input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
Create a positive team-oriented environment through employee development and motivation
Act as a liaison, where necessary, for community relationships
Other tasks as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of supervisory employees. This includes:
Direct supervision of approximately 4-6 full-time employees
Indirect supervision of 10-40 full-time employees.
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

Education and Experience

Required: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience, in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management or similar area of study, and/or seven to ten years previous management experience in manufacturing or related business.

Preferred: Master's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management or similar area of study, and seven to ten years previous management experience. Strong management experience in manufacturing operations with 7-10 years of Lean/Continuous improvement.

Google Introduces Wallet, A Way To Make Payments Using A Phone

Today, Google announced a new service called "Wallet," an app that Google says turns your phone into a credit card or in some cases, a place to keep all those loyalty program cards you now keep on your key chain.

Here's how Google explains it on their blog:

Because Google Wallet is a mobile app, it will do more than a regular wallet ever could. You'll be able to store your credit cards, offers, loyalty cards and gift cards, but without the bulk. When you tap to pay, your phone will also automatically redeem offers and earn loyalty points for you. Someday, even things like boarding passes, tickets, ID and keys could be stored in Google Wallet.

The way the app works right now, you would touch your cellphone to a small reader to make a payment.

Right now, though, Google Wallet will only work with Citi Mastercards and prepaid Google cards. And, VentureBeat reports, it only works with Nexus S phones.

Google said it is rolling out the new app in New York and San Francisco, first.

Crazy Details On Ex-Kiss Guitarist Vinnie Vincent Arrest

Vinnie Vincent, whose real name is Vinnie Cusano, is one crazy mo-fo.? Check out the details of his arrest which include dragging his wife through broken glass and four dead dogs!

The former Kiss guitarist was arrested on assault charges on Sunday after brutally attacking his wife Diane.

Vinnie?s wife Diane escaped to the Sheriff?s Office ?covered in blood? and reeking of alcohol.

Vincent allegedly ?smacked his wife in the face and dragged her through a pile of broken glass?, during the assault at his home yesterday.

Diane told police officers that they started arguing about a female subject that Vincent had been talking to when the guitarist ?grabbed her by the hair and threw her down to the ground?. Vinnie, 58, attacked her four more times before she fled to get help.

Police responded to the couple?s home in Tennessee where they found Vincent and ?four sealed containers containing deceased dogs?.? Diane told officers that the animals had been ?killed by one of their aggressive dogs? and an animal service team was contacted to investigate.

Vinnie Vincent was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault. His bond has been set at $10,000.

Vinnie was known as the ?Ankh Warrior? in his days with the band Kiss, leaving the group in 1984.

Late Night 'Thank You Notes' From Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Fallon says he spends almost 12 hours each day at the Late Night offices, which makes the rest of his life difficult. "If I want to play video games now, I have to schedule it," he tells Terry Gross.

Every single day of Jimmy Fallon's life is like Thanksgiving. The comedian and host of Late Night tells Fresh Air's Terry Gross that he is appreciative of the word moist ? for being the "worst word ever." He's thankful, too, for taco shells that have survived their long journey from factory to supermarket to his plate ? and then break the moment he fills them. And he's grateful that the name Lloyd starts with two L's. Otherwise, he says, it would just sound like "Loyd."

Fallon collects more than 100 nuggets of gratitude in his book, Thank You Notes. The book is based on a reoccurring segment on Late Night, when Fallon and his staff round up mundane things that don't get enough attention and give them each the praise they deserve.

"Like do you ever go down the hallway at work and there's someone walking at the same speed as you and right next to you so you're almost like walking together?" Fallon asks. "And you don't know who they are so you're like, 'Should we hold hands? Are you going to slow down? Do I speed up? One of us has to make a decision here.' So those types of things, they're just random but you go, 'Oh, yeah, there should be a joke somewhere about this.'"

Fallon has spent most of his career coming up with jokes and doing impressions. His early impersonations of Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Cosby, Pee-Wee Herman, Adam Sandler and Eddie Murphy helped get him an audition in front of Lorne Michaels and then a job on Saturday Night Live, where he stayed for six years. After leaving the show to appear in several films, he was tapped by NBC to become the host of Late Night, after Conan O'Brien left in 2009 to prepare to take over Jay Leno's slot on The Tonight Show.

When he's not interviewing guests, Fallon spends a lot of time on Late Night impersonating musicians. He does spot-on versions of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, John Mayer and Neil Young. Last November, his Neil Young even famously dueted with the real Bruce Springsteen on a cover of Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair." The resulting duet became one of the most popular segments in Late Night history.

Fallon says that he's had always had a good ear for imitating others. At two, he perfected a James Cagney routine. By high school, he had Jerry Seinfeld down pat.

"I just had that thing, when I was growing up, where I'd just start talking like people," he says. "I would go visit a friend of mine's house and my mom would say 'You sound like Joey Gonzalez' because I would sound like my best friend."

Occasionally, he even runs into a celebrity right after he does his impersonation on Late Night. A recent segment parodied Donald Trump, whose show Celebrity Apprentice was interrupted by the news that Osama bin Laden had been killed.

Just after the taping, Fallon ran into Trump himself. "And I said, 'Hey Mr. Trump, I did an impression of you on the show that's airing tonight.'"

"You do great impressions," Trump replied.

"I don't want you to be upset," said Fallon.

Trump turned to rest of the people seated at his table and announced, "Jimmy Fallon's doing an impression of me tonight!"

"He knows I never kick anyone when they're down," Fallon says. "I kick them when they're up and they don't mind."

Interview Highlights

On his 'Whip My Hair' performance

"I think every impressionist has a Neil Young but you don't know what to do with it. It's like having a Jack Nicholson. Everyone has one. What do you do with it? So one of my writers said, 'Why don't you do a Neil Young doing a nice version of Willow Smith's 'Whip My Hair?' ... So we have a guitar and we're sitting in my office, trying to think of how Neil would do it."

On how he practiced for his gig at Late Night

"I would sit to the left of my wife every night at dinner and look at her and try to ask her about her food and stuff but you don't know what it's like until you're in the situation and talking to people. I interviewed strangers. I interviewed my mom. ... She was an awful guest. She kept wanting to cut to a clip. And we have no clip. She's not in a movie. She's my mother."

On reenacting Saturday Night Live as a child

"I was obsessed with the show and this is back when VCRs had just started to come out. ... I remember being obsessed with [the show]. My parents would tape it and they would watch it and cut out any sketches that were risque or dirty or things that we couldn't see. And the ones that were clean, we would be able to watch, me and my sister Gloria."

On Weekend Update

"Colin Quinn was leaving Weekend Update and Lorne Michaels said, 'Jimmy, I think you'd be great at doing Weekend Update.' And I said, 'I don't think so. I don't really read the newspaper all that much. I don't know much about the news. I'm the worst person for Weekend Update. Thank you so much. But no thank you. I'd rather not do it.' He said, 'I think it should be someone from the cast.' So they had auditions. A couple writers were auditioning. One of the writers auditioning was Tina Fey. She was just a writer at the time who wrote a lot of stuff for me and she was super fun and super funny and super hard-working. And sharp ? almost too sharp just to be by herself at the time.

"So I saw her audition, and I said, 'Tina's audition was amazing. It was hilarious.' And I talked to Lorne and he said 'I really think you should still do it. Tina's the head writer. No one knows who she is.' And I go, 'What about me and Tina?' And he goes, 'Yeah. I like that. I would see what that's like.' So he set up a test screening of Tina Fey and I in Conan O'Brien's studio over a weekend and we did a test run of what our Weekend Update would be like. And Lorne said, 'I think it would be great because she's the smart one and you're the guy who forgot to do his homework and you need to cheat off her. That's the dynamic.' And we got together and man, it just clicked."
