Application: Now, clearly, this stage of the innovation training is self-explanatory. An innovation training convention is pointless if you don?t have any plans on applying the new techniques that you have learned at work.

Make sure that you follow all the new ideas and strategies in the exact way or fashion that was taught to you and your team.

But be wary too of which methods you use. Not all of them are better than your present business techniques. You may be doing some things that are really better than what your coach has taught you.

After you find the methods that you really need to be applying in your organisation, make sure that you follow them step by step and word per word.

Since you are still trying these new systems, you must make sure that you won?t stray from the well tested formulas from the innovation training.

Revision: Now, this is a step that you will need to take in the later part of your innovation training.

Although you need to follow all of the new things you?ve learned in the innovation training to the tea, once you?ve gotten a grip on it, you now have the ability to modify or customize the new secrets to fit your business better.

When you are choosing which new secrets to revise or edit, base it on the rate of improvement your organisation has had since using it and naturally, your own judgement or real world experience.

Customization is a very strong as well. Remember that.

The littlest changes can work miracles for your business. And often, it can backfire too. Be careful here. Remember: don?t fix something that is not damaged.

Brussels, 29 July 2011 - The European Commission's Joint Research Centre has developed three new methods to detect an illegal clouding agent which can be found in sports drinks imported from Taiwan.

In late May, the Taiwanese authorities informed the European Commission that significant amounts of phthalates were illegally added to certain categories of sports drinks. These chemicals are believed to affect reproductive performance and fertility, and have been linked to developmental problems with children.

Under a request from the Commission's Directorate-General for Health and Consumers, the JRC developed and validated three new testing methods that allow the substance to be rapidly and accurately detected. The methods are freely available on the JRC website and are intended to facilitate the work of laboratories in the EU and world-wide involved in the testing of suspected products. Testing laboratories are invited to submit their feedback regarding the performance of the methods to the JRC, which will analyse the findings and improve the methods, if necessary.

The Taiwanese Food and Drug Administration has published the names of 879 products of more than 300 producers that contained high amounts of phthalates. More than 200 products from 34 producers were exported to 22 countries. These include some EU Member States, in particular Germany and the UK, where some products were withdrawn from the market.

What are phthalates?

Normally, producers of sports drinks, jelly and fruit pulps use a palm-oil based product to obtain a cloudy appearance, but in the Taiwanese incident, this was largely replaced by the two cheaper substances: bis-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (commonly abbreviated DEHP), and - in one case - di-iso-nonyl phthalate (DINP). DEHP and DINP are commonly used as plasticizers in many plastic products. These substances, however, are prohibited in the production of food, and their use in plastic toys and childcare products is restricted in the EU.

Health experts have warned that extreme dieting and eating disorder can leave women infertile at an early age.
The normal warning sign that a woman's fertility is being affected is when her periods stop.
"The hypothalamus in the brain controls the release of hormones from the pituitary gland that drives the menstrual cycle, stimulating the ovaries to produce eggs," the Daily Mail quoted Dr Marie Wren, deputy medical director of the Lister Fertility clinic in London, as saying.
"But if a woman loses a lot of weight, this process shuts down. It's the body's way of preserving what resources it has. If a woman menstruates, she loses iron - and if she has little nutritional input, she can't afford to lose that," she stated.
Bulimia, an eating disorder when person binge eats and purges food through vomiting or laxatives, and faddy yo-yo dieting can also trigger this process.
"If your body weight is yo-yoing, then it is possible your body would perceive this as a stress and so switch off the ovulation mechanism," explained Amanda Tozer, consultant in reproductive medicine at Barts and the London Hospital.
"If you are just losing a few pounds either way you'll probably be fine, but if your weight is really going from one extreme to another than this may happen," she added.
Following low-calorie restrictive diets may also compromise a woman's chance of getting pregnant.
"If you aren't getting enough nutrients, then your body will not function as normal and this will reduce fertility," said Dr Wren.
The worst thing is that the effects cannot be reversed.
About 20 percent of those who become seriously underweight find their menstrual cycle never returns, even when they are at healthy weight.
"It is not just a woman's fertility that is affected by weight. An underweight man will have poorer quality sperm as he is undernourished, likewise if he is overweight," Dr Wren explained.
"One study found that men with a high BMI ejaculate less sperm and more of them are abnormally shaped than normal," she added.

I just graduated from college, and I am moving out of state. I was recently hired for my primarily teaching job, and I am going to be the special ed. inclusion teacher for fifth grade. I will be traveling from class to class in fifth grade to work with the special needs students. Anyway, to make a long story fleeting, I currently work at a teacher resource/ supply store and I get a good discount. Considering the fact that I won?t have my own classroom, can you contemplate of any materials I will perhaps need to buy? I intend to to buy them consequentlyon (while I can employ my discount) since I will be leaving this job in a few weeks. Thanks for any advice you can give me!

I am a middle school teacher of a reading remediation course and also a mom of a high functioning autistic mainstreamed juvenile. I am glad to see there is a school doing it right! There is supposed to be an ?in-between? for students besides pulling them out or leaving them to sink or swim. I would suggest you get one of those milk-cratish type things with handle and wheels. That way you can not unique take the things you need, nonetheless you can take things like extra paper, pencils, pens, etc. Many special needs students lose things a lot or forget things (my consequentlyn does). Also, if they have any nifty items to help with things like visual schedules I would suggest that as well. It may also be a good idea to bring extra fidgets and earplugs in case students forget theirs and it?s in their IEP. I hope I was a help?I may not have told you anything you don?t already know. Welcome to the world of teaching?I am really glad you componenticipateed us!

Rep. David Wu (D) of Oregon announced Tuesday that he will resign his seat, after allegations of an unwanted sexual encounter with a young woman.

?The well-being of my children must come before anything else,? said Representative Wu in a statement. ?With great sadness, I therefore intend to resign effective upon the resolution of the debt-ceiling crisis," said Wu, who was elected to Congress in 1998 as the first Chinese-American in the House.

On Friday, Wu's hometown newspaper, The Oregonian, broke the story about his alleged encounter with an 18-year-old over Thanksgiving weekend last year. Wu told his senior aides that the encounter was consensual, the story reports.

Wu, who is separated from his wife, thus becomes the second House Democrat in the last six weeks to be forced from office as a result of a sex scandal. New York Rep. Anthony Weiner resigned June 16, after admitting he had sent lewd photos of himself via Twitter.

Mirror group launches review after hacking row (AFP)

LONDON (AFP) ? Trinity Mirror, one of Britain's largest newspaper publishers, said Tuesday it was conducting an internal review of its editorial controls following the phone-hacking scandal.

However, a spokesman insisted that the review was not an investigation, nor was it in response to any allegations against the group's newspapers, which include the Daily Mirror, the Sunday Mirror and more than 160 regional titles.

Nick Fullagar, director of corporate communications for Trinity Mirror, told AFP: "It is a review of editorial controls and procedures.

"This follows our previous review post the Hutton report into the death of Dr David Kelly. It is not an investigation into phone hacking or any allegation."

Kelly was a government weapons inspector who was found dead in 2003 after being exposed as the source for a BBC story that alleged Tony Blair's government had "sexed up" intelligence on Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.

A subsequent inquiry by Brian Hutton criticised the BBC's editorial practices.

In the wake of those criticisms, Trinity Mirror conducted an internal review of its own practices in February 2004, and Fullagar said it was right that it carry out another one following the phone-hacking scandal.

It will also examine the authorising of editorial payments.

The hacking row began at the now defunct News of the World but spiralled this month to include allegations of police bribery, taking down senior executives at Rupert Murdoch's media empire and two senior policemen.

It has also threatened to extend to other British newspapers, although they all strongly deny any wrongdoing.

Prime Minister David Cameron was also dragged into the row, over his decision to employ a former News of the World editor, Andy Coulson, as his media chief up until January this year.

Coulson was arrested over phone hacking and alleged police bribery earlier this month, although he denies any wrongdoing.

BAGHDAD (AFP) ? Iraq's president has called a meeting to decide whether US troops should stay beyond a year-end deadline, Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said Wednesday, adding there could be consensus to keep a small number of trainers.

President Jalal Talabani had set last weekend as the deadline for the Iraqi government to give a unified yes or no answer to Washington about some troops remaining, but it expired without an answer from Baghdad.

Zebari told reporters that Talabani had now called another meeting for Saturday to discuss the issue.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said in a telephone conversation with US Vice President Joe Biden that the issue would be decided in parliament, his office said.

"The prime minister assured Mr. Biden that in the end it is up to the parliament to decide whether the country needs American forces to stay or not after the end of this year," a statement from Maliki's office said, adding it was Biden who had called Maliki.

Zebari said he believed that some US troops were needed beyond 2011 to train Iraqi forces.

"Is there a need for trainers and experts? The answer is 'yes,'" Zebari said. "I think it is possible to reach a consensus on this," he added.

"The Iraqi government alone cannot reach a decision on this issue. It needs political and national consensus; it's an issue all political leaders should back."

"President Talabani has announced a decision to gather all political leaders this Saturday" to discuss the issue.

"In my assessment, it is possible to reach an acceptable agreement."

The discussions about some troops staying on comes as the nearly 47,000 US troops now in Iraq are packing to pull out at the end of this year under the terms of 2008 pact.

Even so, he still holds a positive view of his adopted home. "I have experienced much good in Norway, so much good," he said.

Many immigrants or children of immigrants were at the camp, an annual event for Norway's up-and-coming liberal Labor Party activists. Kazemi was in the camp cafeteria Friday when he heard commotion outside: sounds like firecrackers, then screams. Others more aware of what was happening fell on the floor.

"So I threw myself down too, but I didn't know why," he said.

Then he saw the gunman. People around him fell from gunshots. He joined survivors in a mad 10-minute sprint into the forest outside.

It was only when they reached a rocky shoreline, puffing from exhaustion, that friends stared, frightened, at Kazemi. He'd been shot at least once, most likely back in the initial cafeteria melee.

"My leg was caked with blood. I hadn't noticed. I was too busy just trying to stay alive," he said.

He had no time to consider first aid. The gunman had followed them and was firing bursts from his assault rifle.

The teens and young adults had two dangerous option: to hide still behind a rock, or to dive into the bone-chilling water and attempt a long crossing to the mainland at least 600 meters (yards) away.

Kazemi tried both, first hugging the rocky ground until shots rained around him. He jumped into the water, even though he's never learned to swim. He gagged from inhaling water, then clung to a rocky outcropping to keep from going under.

After another half-hour of playing dead on the shoreline, he said, police arrived in boats to arrest the gunman.

Kazemi's bright, unceasing smile suggests a teenager in the full bloom of health. But aided by a brother and stepbrother, Kazemi gingerly lifts the sheets with his uninjured right arm to reveal bullet wounds to both thighs, just above the knees, and a tightly wrapped ankle from a gunshot to his right Achilles heel. His left arm was grazed by another bullet.

"The doctor says I will walk fine again, but I need another surgery tonight," he said. "I am strong."

When asked if he now considered Norway a hostile place to stay, Kazemi offered an emphatic "no." He said he had survived many risks in his native city of Herat, northwestern Afghanistan, and never doubted he could survive this too.

"You have only one life and you must take the good with the bad," he said.

"There will always be both. Life is like that. There are ups and downs. In a dangerous place you always have a chance to live, and in a safe place you always have a chance of being killed. It's destiny and you cannot avoid it."

LOS ANGELES ? Michael Jackson's mom and four of his siblings announced plans Monday for a tribute concert later this year in Wales, but two of the late singer's brothers say they oppose the timing of the show.

The pop singer's mother, Katherine Jackson, and siblings La Toya Jackson, Marlon Jackson, Jackie Jackson and Tito Jackson said the show is scheduled for Oct. 8 at Millennium Stadium but did not reveal any performers.

Within hours of their announcement of "Michael Forever ? The Tribute Concert" at a Beverly Hills hotel, brothers Jermaine Jackson and Randy Jackson released a statement that said they opposed the show because it will be held during the trial of a doctor charged in their brother's death.

"While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honors our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael's death," the brothers wrote in a statement posted on each of their Twitter accounts.

Jury selection in the involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray is scheduled to begin on Sept. 8, with opening statements later in the month. The case is expected to last four to six weeks.

"There will come a time and place for an amazing and deserving tribute to Michael," the brothers' statement read. "But we feel that the most important tribute we can give to our brother at this time is to seek justice in his name."

Michael Jackson's mother and siblings had indicated they would attend all the proceedings, but Katherine Jackson said in a statement Monday that she would be at the tribute concert. She said the event would be a fitting tribute for her son, who died unexpectedly on June 25, 2009, at age 50.

A previous tribute concert in Europe planned by Jermaine Jackson in the months after his brother's death was scuttled after promoters ran into problems and some of the singers listed as performers said they had scheduling conflicts.
