Josh Cassidy takes World Lead

At the Ontario Para Sport Games on Saturday Guelph, Ont.?s Josh Cassidy powered his way to the top of the World clinching the fastest time of 2011 in the wheelchair T54 classification 1500-metres. The time of 3:01.84 gives Cassidy the world lead in the event and is also under the International Paralympic Committee?s 2012 Paralympic Games A standard.

Kevin Strybosch improves Canadian records at Czech Open

Kevin Strybosch of London, Ont., bettered his Canadian record in the F37 discus throw this weekend at the Czech Open in Olomouc. Kevin registered a throw of 40.07 metres bettering his previous mark of 38.80 metres established earlier this season. Kevin also established a new record of 11.94 metres in the F37 shot put.
